Selvic managed the transport and delivery of an Electric Winch Shipment destined for the new Pattullo Bridge — an essential piece of equipment used to inspect the bridge’s cable stays.

The Journey
The cargo was collected from Forres, Scotland, where the shipper loaded it into a 20’ Shipper-Owned Container (SOC).
From there, Selvic arranged transport to Grangemouth Port, where the container was loaded onto a feeder vessel operated by OOCL, bound for Vancouver.
The container was first discharged in Montreal and then transported by rail to Vancouver. Upon arrival, Selvic coordinated customs clearance and final delivery directly to the project site — ensuring a smooth and timely handover.
Execution & Results
Despite several scheduling adjustments concerning cargo readiness and delivery deadlines, the entire process was executed seamlessly.
The shipment arrived on 30th September, and final delivery took place on 3rd October, meeting all project requirements on schedule.
As the Pattullo Bridge project nears completion, we’re delighted to see the equipment we delivered contributing to one of Canada’s most prestigious infrastructure projects.
